The Son-Rise Cup for Autism is an established Devon FA cup tournament and this year we hope to enter Lydford Foxes into the competition.

It takes place over the bank holiday weekend at the Tavistock Community College and a number of age groups are available, namely:

  • Saturday 27 May: 11s, 12s, 13s, 14 and 15/16s
  • Monday 29 May: 8s, 9s and 10s

Having spoken to parents and children on Saturday – did we mention our new kits?! – it looks like the following teams are possible:

Under 10s (Monday 29 May)

  • Paul S
  • Ollie B
  • Finlay B
  • Aaron L
  • Corey S
  • Ben M

Under 12s (Saturday 27 May)

  • Ashley F
  • Louis S
  • Ernie B
  • Oscar L
  • Max W
  • James F
  • Tobin C
  • Shea S

Under 14s (Saturday 27 May)

  • Ben J
  • Harvey G
  • Josh B
  • Russell F
  • Oscar H
  • Jack M
  • Ben

Note, we need SEVEN players per team and a maximum of 10 per squad.

We are bound by the age restrictions of the FA, so we’re unable to field over-age players. A player can play a year group up, but not down, which means an 11-year-old can play in an U12s, etc.

Players will need to be available from 10am until 3pm on the respective days, as well as being able to arrange transport to the event. Lift-sharing is an option – please speak to the coaches and other parents.

There will be a cost of £3.50 per player to cover the entry fee.

Please confirm your availability by the end of Tuesday evening’s training session as the cup is nearly full.

We’re also exploring the other tournaments being held throughout the summer.

  1. I could try some U13 or U14 footballers from Mount Kelly if you are short. Let me know. Regards,Richard
