Sunset Lydford football

From small acorns, big oak trees grow…

Lydford is a small village between Tavistock and Okehampton, on the edge of Dartmoor, with a population of around 400 people. And yet, week in, week out, 40 children turn up at the sports field to train and play for the Lydford Foxes.

In more ways than one, we’re a small club punching above our weight. In 2017, we were elected into the Devon Junior & Minor League and became affiliated with the Devon FA. We’ve come a long way in a short space of time.

We train every Tuesday evening, playing matches on Saturday, with opportunities for all, regardless of ability. For us, the right attitude, spirit and a willingness to learn is as important as skill. Bring the ambition, we’ll provide the platform.

Our players are aged 7 to 14, each one playing with a smile on their face. If you like the sound of A Family Club (the AFC in Lydford Foxes AFC) talk to us today.

We have entered two teams in the 2017-2018 Devon Junior & Minor League – U11 and U13 – with the aim of adding more in the future. If you fancy becoming a Fox, get in touch today!

See you on the pitch. Come on you Foxes!
